In November of 2007, a Source Water Protection Committee was created by the Mayor to take active steps to protect water quality in Ledyard and to create a source water protection plan. Under the guidance of Marc Cohen, a Sourcewater Protection Specialist from Atlantic States Rural Water & Wastewater Association (ASRWWA), the committee completed a draft plan in April of 2008.
You can view the proposed Source Water Protection Plan on the Town Website. The Planning Commission is interested in your comments related to the proposed plan.
